BUILDER NOTES:

Casting Kits:

For an experienced builder with an intermediate level of skill, construction is straightforward. The machining drawings are easy to read and an assembly manual is included.

All castings and materials necessary are included. The kit is complete in the smallest detail. All the necessary fasteners, stock and hardware are included as well. You will not have to locate or purchase anything else. However, valves, fittings and piping specific to your installation are not included.

The castings typically do not require machining their overall shape, but rather features such as diameters, surfaces, bores, holes and threads.

Our built-up crankshaft construction uses superior materials and allows for easy alignment.

The cored cylinder casting simplifies machining as all the internal passages are already cast in place. Cylinder finish machining operations include boring, facing, drilling and tapping.

Machine tools typically used include a lathe and a vertical mill. Useful accessories include dividing, measuring, laying-out and common hand tools.

Typical machining operations include turning, milling, facing, boring, drilling, reaming and threading.

Machined Kits:

All the castings and parts are supplied machined by our shop. Your careful assembly and adjustment following the supplied assembly manual is all that is required. All the necessary fasteners and miscellaneous items are included.
